Ever Flown This Wing?
If so, feel free to share anything you like about the experience here. What were your first impressions?
Please state your experience level, just to put your comments in perspective.
For example, you might be a low-time pilot flying a new wing for the first time and loving it!
Or perhaps you are an instructor, evaluating this wing on behalf of a student. In that case, many visitors here will be very interested in what you have to say!

Numerical Data
For all you number-crunchers out there, feast on this:| pilot take-off weight | 80-100 kg | (177-221 lbs) | | wing weight | 4.6 kg | (10.2 lbs) | | wing area (flat) | 26.9 m² | (289 ft²) | | wing area (projected) | 23.6 m² | (254 ft²) | | wing span (flat) | 11.9 m | (39 ft) | | wing span (projected) | 10.2 m | (33 ft) | | aspect ratio (flat) | 5.3 | | | aspect ratio (projected) | 4.4 | | | min sink | 1.1 m/s | (216 fpm, 4.0 kph, 2.3 knts) | | best glide ratio | 7.9:1 | | | speed min | 23 kph | (14 mph, 12 knts) | | speed trim | 37 kph | (23 mph, 20 knts) | | speed max | 48 kph | (30 mph, 26 knts) |
Non-Numerical Data, from DHV
If numbers don't excite you, try this:| take off handling | easy | | roll damping | high | | control travel | average | | agility | high | | spiral dive entry | easy | | spiral dive exit | turn continues through < 180 degrees | | landing behavior | easy | | B-line stall entry | easy | | B-line stall recovery | spontaneous | | big ears entry | easy | | big ears recovery | spontaneous, quickly |
All the above were recorded when this Gradient paraglider was flown at max weight.
Color Schemes
The simple graphics below represent the available color schemes for the Gradient Delite. I hope this approach is useful for getting a good idea of the colors when quickly comparing wings. Most paragliders have a basic wing color plus something different adorning the leading edge.
lower - white with orange leading edge, upper - white, orange stripe, blue leading edge
